A day of talks and presentations exploring East Dorset's role in the First World War.

 
A day of talks and presentations exploring East Dorset's role in the First World War at Queen Elizabeth's School, Wimborne. It will uncover some of the people who served and fought in the conflict. It will also explore life on the home front during the war years. How was daily life for women, men and children affected by being at war? Speakers will include Professor Karen Hunt, Professor Emerita of Modern British History at Keele University, and Martin Barry BSc (Hons), MA, Conflict Anthropologist and PhD student from the University of Bristol.
